Fire and Waterby =Ros-Kovac

"Yes, fire and water are opposites, but moist heat is the source of all living things. Creation comes about through the resolution of opposing forces."

All around the world, in several mythologies we find this same pattern, fire and water (or ice) as symbols of antagonist chaotic forms combining to give birth to a new systematic form of existence. From a physiological point of view it might be representing male and female, universal opposites that cannot exist by themselves. And from a psychological point of view, it stands for the duality of character inherent to human beings.

I felt like sharing an old work, this painting dates from August, 2009.

Thanks. Well, if you read the Artist's comment you'll notice this work is really old. I had a period where I used to paint colorful things.

Yeah, I've done many styles and themes in the past, in fact, what I have here isn't even 10% of all my serious works, which remain out of the internet. Although my style overall tends to go more along the lines of dark themes, I enjoy doing this kind of things once in a while. :nod:

it is absolutely perfect. the link going straight across the middle takes away from the piece significantly, however, and I suggest it be removed.
