Lara Croft, Reborn by Ros-Kovac Lara Croft, Reborn by Ros-Kovac
I said I had another idea for the contest, so here it is. I wanted a different type of presentation, a less iconic scene and more of an action scene. For this one I tried to stick the character's features seen in the trailer, instead of my own version.

wow she looks abit lighter than partially darker, but I guess that's from the hole not getting your hands dirty, that being said - in her case PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING

It's a really nice pose and i love the look of concentration in her face...

But I'm afraid she couldn't fire a bow like that :( The arrow is too high, she would have little or no control of it. It should be resting on her hand.

That aside the picture itself is very very good.

Wow! The pose and concept here looks amazing! Love the soft and warm colours used in this, looks especially great on her skin!
Simple, yet eye-catching background!

Oh I know, I made her with brown eyes in my first entry. She got blueish greenish eyes in the trailer though, and I thought it looked good with the rest of the colors. :)

Not bad! I like her ''clean look'' here. Which, let's be honest here, something you don't often see in her new reboot look. :P

Yesss, she probably had the time to clean up a bit at some point. :P

Beautiful and fierce! I like her frown and her tight lips. The dirt on her skin and clothes make for great details, just as much as the small scratches on her knuckles.

I just wanted to point out that the Bow needs a kind of Notch or place for the Arrow to rest, where the arrow meets the bow arm. Otherwise i also really like the face, that is very well done !

Ahhh! that actually makes sense. I have no idea how that works in real life, I checked a bunch images to see how it works, while drawing it, and especially caught my attention that many either support the arrow on their finger or wrap the finger around it, it seems wrong, because if they shoot that way, they would hurt themselves. So yeah, I have no idea if in real archery terms the pose makes sense, I have no way to verify either, so I just hope it gets the point across, heheh.

Thanks! :)

what i liked a lot here is the precision of the details...small details indeed contribute a lot
to its magnificence.

i also like the way you made her eyes...firm and yes strong...

It's another good piece. Although with her face, even though she has a furrowed her brow, her eyes tell something different. Like she's hesitant to loose the arrow on whatever target she's aiming at, which is a conflict of emotions that fits in very well with the reboot.

The detail in the pic as a whole is very good and up to your usual standard: the grain of wood in the bow, the dirt on her body and the cut that looks very fresh (and could probably do with a bandage), and the bandage on her shooting hand.

I'll have to agree with ~Nosvertu that she does look better with blue eyes, and it's also good how when you zoom in to the pic, they really take over as the focus of the pic. Hope you do well in the competition.

I like the determination in her furrowed brow. Also, one can see details somewhat easier when she's not caked in mud and blood.

I noticed they changed her eye color for the reboot. She looks prettier with blue eyes, but it's different enough so as to not seem entirely like the same person - but I guess that's the idea with reboots.

Your foreshortening is apt, as well. It's hard to pull it off without overdoing it or underdoing it. Good job on this.

"... one can see details somewhat easier when she's not caked in mud and blood."

Yep! to be honest, I thought she looked better without overdoing it with the dirt. It's shame since the format is so big, it displays sorta blurred here.

Thanks!
